I’ve been creating art and photography ever since I can remember. My first leap into the digital world of photography came when Kodak introduced their first line of consumer digital cameras, the DC series. Mine was a Kodak DC40 which came out in 1995 and had a “whopping” 768×512 pixels picture resolution, 4 “generous” megabytes of internal flash storage memory, slow as molasses, a proprietary “KDC” file format, and it only set me back around $1,000! I’ve even had a few other Kodak models since that. Yes, remember Kodak and their Kodak Moment? They were at the forefront of the digital camera revolution but their business model that evolved from their analog days couldn’t keep up with the speed of the ever revolutionizing digital technology age.
Since those early digital camera days, I’ve primarily used Canon digital camera bodies including Canon’s original Rebel XT 350D, 40D, 7D, 5D, and my current Canon mirrorless EOS R. And a stockpile of Canon lenses to go along with those bodies for various situations, but truth be told, I normally only use less than a handful of lenses, and probably only about 2 lenses will cover most of my photography needs these days. Oh, and then there was the in between period when Canon dragged their feet on the mirrorless full frame digital cameras whereby I went over to the Sony camp who had jumped on the mirrorless age early on. I got their original a7R along with a “few” lenses and peripherals in 2014 until recently when Canon finally decided to evolve into the mirrorless age and I jumped back to Canon but now have a number of Sony gear I seldom use anymore.
And like many photographers, I oftentimes find myself going online to read about a lens I like but promise myself I’m only going to read about it and will not toss money into it like the last time and the time before that. Be real, once you start to read about a lens you like, you’re pretty much hook line and sinker, you’ve bought it in your mind already, you just haven’t actually gone through the ceremonial motion of putting it in your cart and checking out. It’s just a matter of time! Your best bet is to hand over your bank account to a love one! But truth is, you are not a “true” photographer until you’ve released yourself from that chain of your own making that keeps you from buying excessive lenses and other photography peripherals! 😉 So alas, I’ve accumulated a treasure trove of camera bodies, lenses, and other peripherals like flashes, tripods, monopods, battery grips, high capacity memory cards, straps, camera bags and backpacks, and other photography junk I didn’t even know I had! If I had to carry all the photography gear with me on every photo hike, I’d be seeing a chiropractor for my disjointed back! But also like most photographers with a closet full of gear, I end up using only about 2 lenses and 1 or 2 camera bodies regularly, and a laptop backpack for its padding that allows me to just toss everything in there and go!

METAL PRINTS are printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16″ thick aluminum! The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4″ thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame on the back of the print includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall. All metal prints arrive “ready to hang” with mounting hooks and nails. Metal prints are extremely durable. They’re lightweight. They won’t bend, and they’re water resistant.
